Jack Daniel\’s Single Barrel 100 Proof Originally released for the Travel Retail market, this is Jack Daniel\’s Single 100 Proof, which is bottled at a slightly higher strength than the standard Jack Daniel\’s Single Barrel whiskey.
The specialty about Jack Daniel\’s Barrel 100 Proof Tennessee Whiskey is that the aroma can vary from barrel to barrel. The casks are stored on the top of the shelves in the Jack Daniel’s warehouse to take advantage of possible swings in temperature. Through this technique, the whiskeys become highly aromatic and intense with a deep character.
Jack Daniels Single Barrel goes back to the old days of the art of distilling when whisky was created and sold in casks, each with its own flavour. Each barrel of this selected 50%Vol. Alcohol whisky is aged in a single location in the warehouse where the flavour and colour of the whisky matures in a unique and different way.
As Single Barrel 100 Proof is a single barrel whiskey, the bottles from a single barrel differ from the rest in nuances of smell, colour and taste. To highlight this distinctive character, each bottle is hand-labelled with the batch, the barrel number and its date of bottling. A unique Single Barrel that can only be made by Jack Daniels distillery.
Nose: Toasted oak, thick caramel and a hint of coffee.
Palate: Developing peppery warmth, tobacco and vanilla.
Finish: Deep orange and butterscotch.

They carry an excellent selection of hard-to-find good whiskey. I live in the U.S. and their price (including delivery fees) is better than most anywhere in the States. It takes a bit longer than a domestic shop to get the order, which is my only minor complaint. I like that they accept payment in USD, so I don’t get stuck with foreign exchange fees.
